Assistance Coordinator

Full Time | Day Shift | 8am - 5pm

Pay: Starting at $20/hour (Based on experience)

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking an Assistance Coordinator in Fairfield County. The ideal candidate will share Our Mission : Creating a better world by serving people in need.

What will I do as an Assistance Coordinator with Lutheran Social Services:

• Maintain a working knowledge of federal guidelines and regulations governing these funds
• Ensure program procedures, standards and guidelines are met
• Conducts outreach to external partners/providers to educate them about the Veteran's Program, and to ensure maximum access and utilization of these funds by eligible participants
• Screen vets for SSVF eligibility as needed
• Manage client assistance budgets
• Ensure the timely collection, collation, and production of statistical information and reports
• Research demographic and other statistical information regarding the emergency assistance needs and demands in our local community on a regular basis
• Enter data into HMIS system
• Assist with Furniture Bank appointments
• Open and maintain HUD VASH client files
• Track Temporary Financial Assistance/ Request
• Manage Office Supplies
• Provide clerical support as needed
• Audit closed files for storage and ensure filing system is maintained
• Document case review and team meeting minutes

Requirements for an Assistance Coordinator with Lutheran Social Services:

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work preferred; or equivalent experience required
• Ohio State Social Worker license preferred
• Case management and crisis intervention experience required
• Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards required
