Maintenance Foreman

We are Landscape Architects with a great facility and 2 acres of beautiful gardens that will make you want to come to work every day! M.J.’s passion for plants, the landscape industry, and attention to detail can be seen in all facets of the company from the grounds to the cleanliness of our trucks and equipment, to the organization of our shop. The owners are hands on, and more often than not, will be working side by side with you in the field. 

M.J. Design is currently in search of a Maintenance Foreman to join our team. The right person will have strong leadership skills, experience in the Landscape Industry, knowledge of horticulture, and excellent attention to detail.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Working with our Landscape Maintenance crews you will assist with maintaining the properties of M.J. Design clients. 

· Actively participate in team development through the M.J. training program.

· Performing weekly lawn care and bed maintenance services on properties. Includes edging, mulching, weed control, mowing and pruning.

· Performing all work within quality, efficiency and safety standards.

· Desire to develop skills to advance within the company.

Requirements:

· Must have valid OH driver’s license with clean record & have experience in operation of truck & trailer

· Non-smoker

· Must be willing to take and pass the Ohio Pesticide Applicators License exam.

· A 2- or 4-year degree in Horticulture, landscape or construction related discipline is preferred but not required.

· 3 years of team leader/foreman/crew leader experience are required without degree

· Possess strong customer services skills

· MUST BE ABLE TO MANAGE MUTIPLE JOBS.

· A passion for plants and love working outdoors.

· Strong Communication skills and  the ability to speak some Spanish is a plus, learning Spanish a must.

· Energetic and motivated to be a leader

Competitive Pay: $45,000 – 70,000/year Experience dictates final salary.
