Join a Respected Family Law Team – Domestic Relations Associate Opportunity - Immediate Need
Location: Columbus, Ohio | In-person role
Aspen Careers is partnering with a highly regarded boutique family law and litigation practice in Columbus to add an experienced Domestic Relations Associate (or senior-level domestic paralegal) due to an urgent and immediate need . This position supports sophisticated, high-asset domestic matters and offers meaningful courtroom exposure, close collaboration, and a sustainable work-life balance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned family law professional who thrives in complex cases and wants to work directly with an accomplished attorney on advanced domestic litigation.
Why You Should Apply
Support high-asset and complex domestic relations matters
Handle advanced discovery, including financial documentation and asset tracing
Prepare the lead attorney for hearings and trial, including exhibit organization and strategy support
Accompany the attorney to hearings when appropriate (experience-dependent)
Work on cases that demand analytical depth , not volume processing
Billable hour guideline of 125–135 hours per month (approximately 1,620 annually)
Join a collaborative, respectful office with a strong reputation and positive culture
The Ideal Candidate
3+ years of domestic relations experience (more is preferred)
Experience handling higher-asset divorce and family law matters
Comfortable reviewing and analyzing:
Financial statements
Bank records
Asset tracing and property division issues
Able to independently manage discovery and assist with trial preparation
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Admitted attorney or highly experienced domestic relations paralegal
Able to pass a criminal background check
A portable book of business is welcome but not required
