This is not a traditional engineering role; you will be an architect, innovator, and technical leader who turns ambitious vision into market-defining products.

You will partner closely with Product leadership to transform ideas into intelligent, scalable solutions that leverage AI to unlock new value for our customers. You'll work with autonomy and ownership, making critical technical decisions that will shape the trajectory of the company. Your work will directly impact Foxen's growth, competitive positioning, and ability to revolutionize the multifamily real estate industry.

Top Impact Areas:

Engineering Excellence & Team Elevation

•Set the standard for engineering excellence in leveraging AI across the organization through exemplary code, documentation, and technical decision-making

•Mentor and elevate engineers at all levels, accelerating their growth and expanding their technical capabilities

•Champion engineering best practices, including automated testing, observability, security, and operational excellence

•Advise and support various internal AI driven efforts across Foxen

•Build cross-functional alignment between Engineering, Product, and Business teams on complex initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical design and implementation of Foxen's next AI-powered revenue stream, from concept through production deployment
  • Partner directly with the Technology and Product leadership to translate business strategy into technical execution plans
  • Design distributed systems and APIs that are performant, secure, scalable, and maintainable at enterprise scale
  • Architect solutions that extend our existing Azure-based platform while introducing cutting-edge AI capabilities
  • Establish technical patterns, frameworks, and standards that enable the broader engineering team to move faster and leverage AI with more confidence
  • Drive technical due diligence for major initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities that impact timelines and outcomes
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Lead critical production incidents and drive post-incident learning to improve system resilience
  • Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact features, from technical design through deployment and monitoring
  • Build relationships with key technology partners and vendors to accelerate innovation

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience building production systems at scale
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture (Azure strongly preferred), and microservices patterns
  • Proven track record of prototyping and successfully shipping 0-to-1 products or major features that drove significant business outcomes
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, RAG architectures, or AI agent frameworks
  • Strong proficiency in C#, SQL Server and .NET ecosystem, with full-stack expertise across modern web applications
  • Expert-level understanding of API design, data modeling, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and building highly reliable systems with excellent operational characteristics
  • Deep knowledge of security best practices, particularly in regulated industries or handling sensitive data

  • Track record of mentoring engineers and elevating team capabilities through technical leadership

Essential Attributes:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: You thrive in ambiguity and turn constraints into creative solutions

  • Intellectual curiosity: You're energized by learning new technologies and exploring innovative approaches
  • Ownership mentality: You take pride in your work and responsibility for outcomes
  • Results-oriented: You're driven to ship products that matter and move key metrics

Our Tech Stack:
