Front Desk and Childcare Supervisor

Health Fitness has an exciting new opportunity for a Front Desk & Childcare Supervisor at our client site located near Cincinnati, OH. This key individual will be responsible for leading the efforts for the Front Desk and Kids at the brand new 65,000 square foot Delhi Athletic Club (DAC) which includes a cultural arts and banquet center in addition to the fitness and aquatics areas. Schedule will be a mix of early mornings, days, nights and weekends.

Key Accountabilities:

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in the front desk and Kids Towne areas in accordance with HealthFitness policies, procedures and applicable laws including recruiting, onboarding, training, evaluating, developing, and succession planning. Determines and assigns work assignments to ensure staff remains challenged and productivity is maximized. Promotes and encourages career growth.
• Ensures staff is properly trained and holds HealthFitness approved certifications needed for safe and effective program delivery. Provides continuous feedback and coaching to ensure quality of all program and service delivery. Conducts annual performance appraisals and may initiate formal corrective action as needed.
• Leads regular staff meetings to ensure associates are informed about HealthFitness as well as onsite events, initiatives, and status. Attends Leadership meetings.
• Submits payroll records and billing worksheets accurately and according to policy.
• Hires and coaches front desk and KidsTowne Staff members ensuring that each program/department is meeting budget targets and maximizing participation and revenues.
• Oversees the proper maintenance and cleanliness of the front desk and Kids Towne.
• Supervise and schedule front desk and Kids Towne staff.
• Oversee member accounts including new members, member billing, non-sufficient funds, and member reimbursement program.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons including addressing patron issues and concerns in a professional manner.
• Answer phones and greet patrons as they enter and exit the facility.
• Communicate information about the facility and related services to patrons.
• Perform basics cleaning duties.
• Manage inventory of front desk and Kids Towne supplies, place orders as needed.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Child or Youth Development or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.
• Adult/Infant/Child CPR/AED and First Aid from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute or National Safety Counsil. Must be OSHA compliant having an in-person practical component.
• 1+ years of experience in accounting or office management required.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• Must be comfortable using computers and willing and able to learn point of sale and member management software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Active listing skills and ability to relate to and provide service to individuals of different backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision.
• Strong quality orientation including attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.99 - $21.67 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
