Entry Level Buyer / Purchasing Assistant – Sunbury, OH

A leading service‑driven supplier to the automotive industry is seeking an Entry Level Buyer/Purchasing Assistant . This company provides a wide range of components used in vehicle manufacturing and offers an excellent opportunity to begin a career in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

This role supports the sourcing, scheduling, and delivery of materials for both domestic and imported parts. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure customer requirements for quality, cost, and delivery are consistently met.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support customer requirements for domestic and imported parts in a timely manner

• Manage delivery schedules for materials, tooling, and accessory equipment

• Monitor purchased products for quality discrepancies and past‑due deliveries

• Communicate with suppliers to resolve concerns promptly

• Perform daily purchasing functions in the supervisor’s absence

• Schedule truckload pick‑ups for domestic suppliers

What You Need to Succeed

• College degree preferred

• 6 months–1 year of purchasing experience preferred

• Ability to read blueprints or schematic drawings

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Comfortable with customer interaction, conflict resolution, multitasking, and negotiation

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong critical‑thinking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure

Compensation

Pay Rate: $22.50/hour
