Engine Sales Director - Americas

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engine Sales Director - Americas to lead and drive our GATES (GA Telesis Engine Services) sales division. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership within the aviation sector. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing international operation, contributing to the expansion of our engine services business while collaborating with teams and customers across global markets. This role requires a strong understanding of engine services, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners. This role is based in the US.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for overhaul and unscheduled engine removal services, aligning with overall company goals and objectives.
- Monitor sales metrics and performance indicators to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales quotas and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
- Identify and target potential clients and markets for engine services, expanding the company’s customer base.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers to maximize business opportunities.
- Drive the development of new business proposals, partnerships, and contracts to enhance the company’s position in the market.
- Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs and addressing any concerns.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements, industry trends, and competitive landscape to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and maintain long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Provide market insights to internal teams for the development of new products, services, and enhancements.
- Recommend strategic adjustments to sales tactics based on market dynamics and feedback.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to executive leadership.
- Utilize data-driven insights to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make informed strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in sales leadership in the aviation industry
- Strong understanding of engine services, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Proven negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
- Experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
