Junior web developer
We are looking for a self-starting and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer with a strong foundation in both frontend and backend development, with an emphasis on Python and Django. As part of our Web Development Team, you will collaborate in small groups to design, build, and support software solutions that help the company improve efficiency in managing project data, cost estimation, and process management tools.
This is a part-time position , and would be ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to impactful projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement features that make our platforms more effective and user-friendly.
- Troubleshoot bugs and resolve performance issues.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation for codebases.
- Stay current with best practices and emerging technologies in web development.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certificate in Web Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of web development experience.
- Basic understanding of Python, JavaScript, and Django.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts.
- Experience working with SQL databases (Postgres, MSSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of data engineering principles (ETL).
- Experience deploying web-based services on local or public-facing servers.
