Who are You at MacLellan?

As an HR Generalist, you are a part of Best People , supporting our Human Resources team in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. You play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our HR systems and processes, ensuring that our team members have a seamless experience from onboarding through their employment journey. Using our Best Systems , you manage critical HR Generalist functions with precision and care. The HR Generalist delivers Best Results by keeping our documentation organized, our onboarding on track, and our compliance responsibilities fulfilled.

What are the HR Generalist's responsibilities?

  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, workplace practices, and employee relations matters, including coaching, documenting concerns, and partnering with leadership to resolve workplace issues.

  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing coordination, and onboarding processes.

  • Manage the administration and adherence to Human Resource policies, procedures, and practices, including employee benefit administration, vendor relationships, and ACA compliance. This includes conducting audits, completing related paperwork, and/or database entries.

  • Support the annual benefit renewal process by evaluating plan providers, plan design, and plan costs. Offer recommendations to leadership on areas for efficiency and improvement.

  • Support performance management processes, including performance review cycles, employee development planning, and coaching managers on feedback conversations.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation complies with organizational policies and legal requirements.

  • Assist with HRIS administration, including employee data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting basic system issues. Conduct audits of HR records and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with employment laws and organizational standards.

  • Assist with other HR processes, including compensation and wage administration, payroll, reporting and analytics, leave administration, research, adherence to federal and state employment laws, HRIS maintenance, new hire orientation, and database entries.

  • Follow all agency safety policies and procedures and report identified safety concerns.

What are the skills necessary for success?

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred).

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

What education and/or experience are needed for success?

  • 2+ years of experience in HR or related field

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.

  • Proficient with Ceridian Dayforce ATS or similar HRIS system.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Pre-Employment Drug Testing Notification and Policy:

  • After a conditional offer of employment, all job applicants at MacLellan Integrated Services will undergo testing for the presence of illegal drugs.

  • Applicants will be required to submit voluntarily to a urine specimen test at a laboratory chosen by the Company. Any applicant who refuses to submit to a drug test or is suspected by the lab to have tampered with the specimen will not be considered for employment.

  • Prior to testing, an applicant will be given the opportunity to list all prescription drugs used and their purpose. All legal drugs found in a drug test result will be verified by a Medical Review Officer (MRO), who will verify that prescriptions are valid and being used at the prescribed amounts and that said amounts are reflected appropriately in the urine.

  • Any applicant with a confirmed positive test will be denied employment.

Post-Employment Drug Testing:

  • All employees can be drug tested randomly, upon suspicion, post-accident or any other purpose allowed by law.

  • Note: This form is not used to obtain consent and is for informational purposes only. Drug testing consent will be obtained per FCRA requirements in a separate process.
