R&D Intern

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to an R & D and will gain valuable experience supporting our manufacturing plants or project teams in various areas and have exposure to key research, development, quality, and production functions. Throughout the summer, you will own a key project relating to a relevant business problem and have the opportunity to present your insights and recommendations to leadership. Outside of this, you will partake in several development workshops and build connections with your peers and our business leaders through social & networking events.

Expected Outcomes:

• Ownership of a project to interact with all COEs, demonstrating analytical abilities and critical thinking skills while helping to solve real-life business problems.
• Knowledge and experience with food science, research and development.
• Strong collaboration within the site leadership teams, cross-functional department teams, and potentially contractors, and vendors.
• Active participation in Pure Ambition program activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current junior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in dairy or food science, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, engineering, or related fields.
• Clear written communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Self-starter and highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

The opportunity could be based at any of our US locations including but not limited to Twin Falls ID, Sharonville, OH & West Haven CT. Must be willing to relocate.

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in CA. This range may not apply to other locations. The wage for CA-based employees for this role is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
