About the Role
NAI Ohio Equities is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and experienced in general building maintenance. This role supports a portfolio of commercial office, industrial, and association properties throughout Central Ohio and offers the opportunity to continue developing technical skills while building a long-term career in property management and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete work orders and maintenance tasks independently while collaborating effectively with supervisors and team members
- Deliver responsive, professional service to tenants, owners, vendors, and property management teams
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repair work
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC equipment, and complete preventative maintenance tasks such as filter changes
- Perform and document monthly building and systems inspections
- Safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Assist with property upkeep and appearance to ensure buildings are maintained to company standards
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and lift from ground level
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and extension ladders and perform work overhead
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, and work outdoors for extended periods as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of building maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
- Experience working in commercial real estate, facilities maintenance, or property management environments
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour, based on experience
