Supervisor In Training
Responsible for the management and supervision of department team members. Process supervision and technological guidance to tackle key problems in production. Develop teams to consistently achieve organizational KPI objectives and continuous improvement targets.
Monitoring and enforcement of organizational safety practices and processes, ensuring team and departmental compliance
Conduct pre-shift planning per production schedule and provide pre-shift meeting to production team
Responsible for the availability and upkeep of controlled measurement tools/gages
Ensure process compliance, labor discipline, product quality, and safety compliance through on-site management
Discovery, root cause, and countermeasure implementation of both internal and external product quality abnormalities
Completion of process, product, safety audits at prescribed frequency
Organize and completion of "Select position" knowledge and skills training for department team members
Monitor and management of performance indicators respective to assigned workshop, providing solutions for continuous improvement
Seek out external resources that support production efficiency improvements
Overall responsible for implementation of assigned workshop hygiene and 5S to ensure safety and efficiency
Planning and execution of production equipment TPM with coordination of maintenance and planning departments
Management of team timecards/payroll, including documentation of work hours and allocation of production incentives
Support new hire training as well as continued skills development of all staff
Responsible for organizing analysis and improvement of difficult problems or abnormalities, tracking the performance and providing feedback
Responsible for organizing statistical analysis and developing improvement measures and tracking performance in case of indicator abnormalities in production
Responsible for the review and auditing of daily production data, ensuring accuracy and authenticity
Fulfill shift supervisor duties as required for absences
Other duties as assigned

Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
1 year manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods. Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip) Visual acuity including, but not limited to: a. NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded. b. FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions. c. DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are. d. COLOR VISION - Ability to identify and distinguish colors. e. FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed work boots.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
