Position Summary:

This role is responsible tooperate the automatic wrapping machine. Responsible toassist customers with special requests and answer questions about meat products and services.Perform duties that comply with local health code and follow proper safety procedures and standards.

Here's what you'll do:

• Provides prompt and courteous customer service receive and fulfills all orders

• Wraps, weighs, labels and display all merchandise utilizing the automatic wrapping machine

• Stocks display case and rotate merchandise as requested

• Assists customers with all inquiries and requests

• Operates machinery by following proper department production and safety standards, as needed

• Inspects and reassembles equipment for use and perform routine maintenance as assigned

• Maintains accurate retail pricing and signage

• Cleans and sanitizes work area, equipment and utensils in compliance with health code

• Sustains a high level of product knowledge and product preparation

• Demonstrates excellent customer service standards

• Reports hazard and safety violations immediately

• Works toward continuous quality improvement

• Ensures accurate pricing by placing the corresponding price and ingredient labels on each package

• Other duties as assigned

Here's what you'll need:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)

• One year of retail or related experience preferred.

• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.

• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
