Healspace LLC and Talbot Health Services provide behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services through evidence-based, person-centered care focused on recovery and long-term success. We are seeking energetic, engaging, and recovery-focused professionals to join our Monroe Street team as Group Facilitators.

This role plays an important part in helping clients build skills that support treatment engagement, relapse prevention, emotional wellness, and long-term recovery success.

Candidates with behavioral health, recovery support, addiction treatment, counseling, education, or group leadership experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Summary

The Group Facilitator is responsible for leading psychoeducational and recovery-focused groups within a behavioral health and substance use treatment environment. Groups may include relapse prevention, coping skills, life skills, wellness education, recovery principles, and curriculum-based programming.

This position works collaboratively with counselors, case managers, nursing staff, and leadership teams to create engaging treatment experiences while supporting client participation and recovery goals.

Documentation and services are expected to meet agency standards, OhioMHAS expectations, Medicaid requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Facilitate psychoeducational and recovery-focused groups
• Create an engaging, welcoming, and therapeutic group environment
• Present educational materials and encourage participation and discussion
• Monitor attendance, participation, and client engagement
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and professionalism
• Complete required documentation accurately and within required timelines
• Support treatment goals and reinforce recovery principles
• Coordinate with treatment team members regarding client needs
• Participate in treatment team meetings and trainings
• Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality standards

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include one or more of the following:

• Active Ohio CDCA credential strongly preferred
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Criminal Justice, Education, or related field preferred
• Experience facilitating groups, leading educational programming, or working within behavioral health settings preferred
• Experience working with substance use disorder and co-occurring populations preferred
• Strong communication and public speaking abilities required
• Basic computer and documentation skills required

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an OhioMHAS-certified treatment environment
• Knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery principles
• Familiarity with psychoeducational programming and relapse prevention
• Experience with trauma-informed approaches and motivational interviewing
• Experience facilitating groups in behavioral health, healthcare, educational, or community settings
