Part time Office Administrator

Role Description
The Spiritual Center Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of Unity of Dayton Spiritual Center. This role ensures the center runs smoothly by managing office operations, supporting ministry activities, coordinating communications, and maintaining financial and membership records. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and service-minded. Responsibilities include interacting with visitors and members, delivering exceptional customer service, and coordinating communication and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Office & Administrative Management
- Oversee daily office operations and maintain an organized, welcoming environment
- Manage center calendar and facility scheduling
- Maintain office supplies and coordinate equipment maintenance
- Serve as a point of contact for phone, email, and in-person inquiries
Financial Administration
- Process weekly contributions, donations, and deposits
- Maintain accurate financial records in coordination with the Treasurer or accountant
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, and expense tracking
- Manage payroll and vendor payments
Membership & Database Management
- Maintain and update membership database and records
- Track attendance and engagement metrics
- Coordinate new member onboarding and communications
Communications
- Prepare and distribute weekly newsletters, bulletins, and announcements
- Update website and social media platforms
- Support marketing and outreach efforts for events and programs
Event & Program Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for Sunday services, classes, workshops, and special events
- Work with ministry leaders and volunteers to ensure smooth execution of programs
Volunteer & Staff Support
- Provide administrative support to the minister, board, and ministry leaders
- Help coordinate volunteers and maintain volunteer schedules
- Support board meetings with agendas, minutes, and documentation
Qualifications
Required
- 1 year of administrative or office management experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with office management processes and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred
- Familiarity with church management software (e.g., Breeze, Planning Center, Realm)
- Basic bookkeeping or financial administration experience

Compensation
- Commensurate with similar regional positions
