Infinity Natural Resources (NYSE: INR), is an oil and gas exploration and production company deeply rooted in the Appalachian Basin. Headquartered in Morgantown, WV, we are committed to responsible energy development, operational excellence, and strong environmental stewardship across our growing operations in Ohio and Pennsylvania. We pride ourselves on a collaborative work environment, a team dedicated to innovation and safety, and our strong connection to the Appalachian Basin, the region we proudly call home and operate within.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Air & Emissions Field Specialist to join our air compliance team, focusing on the execution of inspections and essential field-level repairs across our Ohio and Pennsylvania assets. In this collaborative role, you will support the maintenance of emissions inventories and permit applications while ensuring site operations remain in strict alignment with state and federal air quality regulations. By providing critical technical data and field support, you will help our broader regulatory and operations teams achieve consistent environmental compliance and operational success.
Location
This is a primarily field-based role with coverage across our Ohio and Pennsylvania assets. The position requires extensive regional travel (approximately 70–80%) to our operating sites, along with additional travel to our regional offices and our headquarters in Morgantown.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conduct Optical Gas Imaging and Leak Detection and Repair inspections to ensure compliance with state (Ohio EPA, PA DEP) and federal (NSPS OOOOa/b) regulations.
- Implement field maintenance and corrective actions on emission sources, including replacing gaskets, thief hatches, and other minor mechanical components.
- Assist in the preparation, submission, and renewal of various air permit applications (Minor/Major Source, PSD, NSPS, and NESHAP).
- Track federal, state, and local regulatory changes and deadlines to ensure continuous operational compliance.
- Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of field data and manage the accurate upload and organization of records in electronic databases.
- Develop and maintain emissions inventories, compliance plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Lead or support site walkthroughs, stack testing, and fugitive emissions monitoring.
- Provide guidance to Engineering and Operations teams on process changes and projects impacting emissions.
- Actively engage in safety inspections during simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and adhere to all company safety protocols and training.
- Independently manage a schedule requiring 70–80% regional travel across Ohio and Pennsylvania, including overnight stays.
Your Background:
- 3–5 years of professional experience in air quality and emissions compliance, permitting, and reporting, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent technical background and experience will also be considered).
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations, specifically NSPS OOOO, OOOOa, and OOOOb, as well as NESHAP, PSD, and Title V requirements.
- Proven ability to calculate emissions, apply emissions factors, and assist with emissions modeling as required.
- Demonstrated experience conducting or overseeing compliance testing, specifically source/stack testing and fugitive emissions monitoring.
- Exceptional skills in data collection, analysis, and technical reporting, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for preparing high-quality reports and complex permit applications.
- Ability to work effectively with operations, engineering, and environmental teams to achieve shared compliance goals.
- A flexible approach to evolving regulatory requirements and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet strict state and federal deadlines.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with company policy.
Working Conditions
- Must be willing and able to consistently work (70-80% of time) in varying weather conditions and rough field terrain
Physical Requirements
- See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
- Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
- Must be able to perform physical work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
