IT Technician

Description We are looking for an IT Technician to join our team in Mentor, Ohio, within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing technical support to end users. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and maintaining IT infrastructure, as well as collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. Responsibilities: - Provide technical support for financial applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with platforms such as Symitar and Synergy. - Handle onboarding and offboarding processes for users, including hardware setup, account creation, and access configuration. - Manage and resolve help desk tickets, documenting all actions and solutions accurately within the system. - Maintain and update IT documentation, including system settings, troubleshooting procedures, and asset records. - Diagnose and resolve basic network issues, such as Wi-Fi connectivity and LAN/WAN problems. - Oversee IT hardware inventory, coordinating the deployment and recovery of assets as needed. - Work closely with vendors to address technical challenges and escalate issues appropriately. - Participate in IT projects, contributing to the implementation and upgrades of systems. - Educate employees on IT policies, tools, and best practices to enhance their technical proficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role. - Proficiency in troubleshooting LAN and WAN networks. - Familiarity with Active Directory for user account management and access control. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. - Experience with credit union-specific applications or financial platforms is a plus. - Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and vendors. - Ability to maintain detailed and accurate IT documentation. - Knowledge of IT hardware and asset management processes.
