• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,570–$1,650

Behavioral Health RN (Psychiatric Nurse) Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 18 months of recent Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN experience and 18 months of permanent hospital experience prior to travel assignments
• License: Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Certification: Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• References: Two (2) recent manager-level references within the specialty from the past 12 months; no coworker references
• Clinical Skills: Milieu management, medication management, behavioral health assessments, and strong documentation
• Compliance: Ability to meet onboarding, screenings, and required assessments during orientation

Key Responsibilities (Psychiatric RN – Behavioral Health)

• Provide therapeutic, patient-centered nursing care for individuals with behavioral health and psychiatric needs
• Support a safe, structured milieu through consistent observation, therapeutic communication, and adherence to unit protocols
• Administer and monitor psychiatric medications; observe for side effects/adverse reactions
• Complete behavioral health assessments and ongoing reassessments; escalate changes in condition promptly
• Document care accurately and timely in accordance with unit standards and policy
