What You'll Do as a LEADS Infrastructure Operations Specialist 4

• Works with operating units, business units & vendors to design & manage agency storage systems, computer systems & hypervisor environments across multiple data centers.
• Designs, configures, & maintains synchronous data center storage replication, computer resources, &/or hypervisor environments for high availability, offsite backup, & disaster recovery (HA/DR) between multiple data centers.
• Troubleshoots tier III hypervisor, computer & storage issues including kernel/module issues, storage latency, crash analysis & orchestration problems; Performs root cause analysis & lead remediation efforts.
• Works extensively with operating units, business units & vendors to design & manage uninterrupted power, Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning (HVAC), fire detection & suppression infrastructure, & emergency failover & failback procedures across multiple data centers.
• Integrates fire detection & suppression systems, generator, transfer switch, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Unit (PDU) & associated network management cards, & Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) units & associated network management cards, into third party Building Management System (BMS) watchdogs for remote monitoring.

Qualifications Option 160 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current IT policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Storage Management) .



Option 2

• Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems;

AND 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current IT policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Storage Management) .



Option 3

• Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems;

AND 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating current it policies, procedures and practices, recommending and/or leading IT driven change efforts, participating and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting (Storage Management) .

Supplemental Information This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency.
