Senior React Developer

**Hybrid 3 days per week in Columbus**

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced front-end features using React and React Native.

• Build scalable, maintainable codebases with TypeScript and JavaScript.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences.

• Architect reusable components, state management solutions, and performance optimizations.

• Integrate front-end applications with AWS-based services and APIs.

• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce engineering best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across web and mobile platforms.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience with React in production environments.

• 2+ years of experience building mobile applications with React Native.

• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, DynamoDB, Cognito).

• Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture, state management (Redux, Zustand, MobX, Recoil, etc.), and component-driven development.

• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming patterns.

• Deep knowledge of performance optimization techniques for both web and mobile.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with serverless architectures or full-stack development.

• Familiarity with design systems and UI/UX best practices.

• Experience with Expo, React Navigation, or native module integrations.

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) or Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CDK).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
