Senior Accountant - Cincinnati
Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations including bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly and year end close processes
- Maintain vendor records and support vendor setup and compliance documentation
- Process internal company invoicing and assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities
- Review weekly payroll reporting for accuracy and completeness
- Process daily receipts and maintain supporting documentation
- Collaborate with the Controller and Accounting team to support financial reporting and operational accounting activities
- Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as assigned
- Minimum five years of accounting experience, preferably within contracting, construction, or service based environments - At least three years of senior level accounting experience with strong general ledger exposure - Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred - Strong Excel skills with solid analytical and reconciliation experience - Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively across teams - Valid driver's license required
