Location: Sandusky, Ohio
Pay: $15.00/hr This is a direct hire position.
Shift: 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Hours may increase and Saturday work is mandatory if needed.

A local home decor logistics company is looking for a reliable and motivated Transportion Driver for there warehouse facilties in Sandusky, Ohio. As a driver you will be responsible for safely transporting skids of home decor product from one warehouse to another.

Responsibilitties:

• Carefully load and unload home decor items to prevent damage.
• Use appropriate equipment and techniques to handle heavy or fragile items safely.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding vehicle operation.
• Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the Transportation Manager.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver, particularly in the home decor or furniture industry, is preferred but not required. Has experience driving a 26ft straight truck
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Skills:

• Excellent driving skills.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks associated with loading and unloading items.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items frequently.
• Ability to operate and maneuver delivery vehicle in tight spaces as well as back into a loading dock.
