Restorative Wellness MD is seeking to fill several open positions for our fast-growing functional medicine practice. We have recently launched our new procedure center, The Longevity Center, and are looking for highly motivated, passionate, customer service driven individuals with a positive attitude towards wellness and overall health. We are seeking Patient Care Coordinators to intake, check-out, and facilitate patient treatment programs and a Patient Schedule Coordinator to manage multiple resource/consult schedules.
- The Patient Care Coordinator, a Medical Assistant based role, will facilitate patient care from intake to education of personalized custom treatment programs.
- The Patient Schedule Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for our patients with the central roles of providing excellent customer service, ensuring smooth daily operations, and orchestrating accurate patient clinic schedules.
Patient Care Coordinator:
- Intake patients by documenting patient vital signs, assisting and verifying that appropriate patient documentation/questionnaires have been completed correctly, and preparing both the patient and physician for the appointment.
- Facilitate customer checkout by helping patients understand their treatment program, billing program, and scheduling their next evaluation.
- Provide additional explanation and education regarding patients treatment plan summary, pharmaceutical grade supplementation plan, physicians recommendations, and follow-up plan.
- Act as a liaison between the Patient and Physician or Lead RN, to clarify any outstanding questions and concerns.
- Appropriately schedule follow-up appointments according to the current follow-up plan ordered by the Physician.
- Understand basic medical note structure and management of patient records, systems, and documentation.
- Organize check-out packets for review and processing by Physician and/or Lead RN.
- Connect patients to the appropriate resource person when rolling into additional services or procedures in The Longevity Center.
- Provide patients with the appropriate educational handouts and supplies when needed.
- Answer direct phone calls to the appropriate resource person or department.
- Schedule and monitor multiple patient resource calendars using our designated EMR system.
- Assist patients in person and on the phone promptly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary information.
- Address patient inquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts in a timely manner.
- Provide clerical support to the administration, clinical, and managerial teams.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient care and clinical flow.
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information in electronic medical records system.
- Ensure the reception area & lobby is clean, organized, and presentable.
- Both positions are in-person positions either full-time or part-time depending on the clinics need to cover for the following business hours: Mon 9a-5p | Tue-Thu 8a-5p | Fri 9a-1p
- Excellent computer literacy & skills are a MUST. We utilize an online EMR system with a supplemental program built in Microsoft Excel and a suite of other tech services for inner office communication and daily business.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all practice services, pricing, and current marketing promotions.
- Be on time and prepared to work to the highest standard with a positive attitude.
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with friendly and professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with functional medicine is preferred.
- At least 2 years of customer service and medical office experience is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate with patients and coworkers with a compassionate, professional, and courteous attitude.
- Attention to detail and ability to be extremely accurate with patient documentation.
- Ability to take constructive feedback
- Must have strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
- Ability to be flexible with your time and job duties during clinical hours.
