Position Overview STI-TEC is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your electrical engineering skills to real-world projects within the GovCon sector, particularly in Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E). You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment dedicated to supporting mission systems and the warfighter.Essential Job Function
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems and components for defense applications.
- Support the development and implementation of circuit designs and schematics.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct experiments, gather data, and analyze results.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and support project documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies in electrical engineering.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with circuit design software (e.g., Altium, LTSpice) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A genuine interest in electrical systems and a commitment to supporting national defense initiatives.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Experience with embedded systems, control systems, or power electronics.
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles and industry standards.
- Interest in government contracting and defense-related projects.
