Senior Product Manager - Infrastructure Services, Smart Build

Designs, develops and manages the lifecycle of a product or group of products from concept to launch to end of life. Translates market opportunities and customer demand into viable products and services that differentiate Equinix in the market. Sets the vision and strategy for their product ensuring it is competitively positioned and customer-centric. Manages the product roadmap including features, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Works cross functionally with user experience, engineering, operations, solution architects, marketing and others to design, build and launch new products and/or product features.
This role is part of the Equinix Smart Build Product team. The Smart Build offering provides options that enable customers to rapidly procure and install IT infrastructure in Equinix Data Centers, accelerating their time to market. Smart Build allows customers to select standardized components for faster, repeatable deployments or more customized designs for complex requirements.Responsibilities
Product Lifecycle Management
Helps develop and execute innovative approaches to scale our Smart Build product offerings
Coordinates with other members of the Smart Build product team and cross-functional teams to ensure Smart Build Product Management is effective
Defines metrics that will be used to inform product success and help drive user experience improvements
Product / Domain Expertise
Seen as a product lines expert
Engaging regularly with customers and internal teams to explain the product lines
Product Strategy, Vision and Roadmap
Gathers, documents, designs and tests the best possible customer experience and incorporates the voice of the customer into the Smart Build product roadmap
Involves sales engineers, operations and others to create a shared vision and clear goals for the product, including a well-defined product roadmap
Market, Competitive and Customer Analysis
Researches competitors and verticals; prepares more complex reports related to financial position, competitive position and market potential
Business Case Development
Creates and collaborates on the financial business models, conducts compelling business opportunity reviews with the leadership team
New Partner Identification and Engagement
Identifies and collaborates with partners to enhance the product
Backlog Prioritization
Creates backlogs, working regularly with the team to refine and add detail where needed
Collaborates closely with technology teams
Stakeholder Management
Manages stakeholder expectations within and/or across functions
Identifies and proactively includes correct stakeholders and communications effectively
Understands stakeholder needs and builds effective relationships
Utilizes effective methods of communication with stakeholders, varying approach accordingly
Designs product training curriculum; leads cross-functional trainings and meetings
Partners with Procurement for vendor selection and vendor relationships
Qualifications
7+ years experience preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Understanding of data center architecture and white space physical infrastructure
History of working in a team environment and working closely with multiple departments and both internal and external stakeholders
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual
United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 186,000 - 280,000 USD / Annual
United States - Tampa Office TAO : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 154,000 - 232,000 CAD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
