Position Overview:
At Small Hands Big Dreams Learning Center, we believe that summer is a time for exploration, growth, and sunshine! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Toddler Teacher you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging space for our littlest learners. Our program focuses on developmental growth through play, exploration, and hands on activities. We provide an all-inclusive experience by offering all the essentials to our families.

Duties

Responsibilities Include:

• Health and safety of children, actively supervises the children at all times
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Builds strong family relationships through goal setting and engagement in classroom activities
• Cooperates and collaborates with team members
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience working with young children and some coursework in early childhood, education (or a related field)
• Ready to lend a helping hand and work as a team
• Supports families through daily communication and engagement
• Joins in on the fun... we love to sing and dance
• Committed to watching students grow through the whole year
• Provides social and emotional support and facilitates healthy relationships
• Motivated and holds true to what you say you will do
• Punctual and dependable
• Professionalism displayed through appropriate interactions, dress and communication
