Warehouse worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to inventory management, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.

Duties

• Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts using warehouse management systems and RF scanners.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes for loading and unloading materials.
• Perform picking and packing of orders, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
• Engage in materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting and stocking shelves as needed.
• Utilize pallet jacks for moving products within the warehouse efficiently.
• Participate in regular inventory audits to support inventory control efforts.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in warehouse distribution practices.
• Knowledge of inventory management processes and systems (AS400 experience is a plus).
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
• Experience with packaging materials for shipping purposes.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently throughout the shift.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking and packing.
• Understanding of safety protocols related to warehouse operations (OSHA compliance).
