UDS Opening for a Marketing and Communications Associate Position

United Disability Services (UDS) is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals with disabilities throughout Summit County and the surrounding areas. As a trusted provider of inclusive day services, we offer programs that support personal growth, independence, and meaningful community connections.

We’re currently seeking a Marketing/Communications Associate to help amplify our mission and engage our community. This role is essential in driving strategic marketing efforts, creating compelling content, and managing communication across multiple platforms.

What You’ll Do:

• Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and website updates.
• Campaign Execution: Assist in planning and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and event-based initiatives.
• Digital Marketing: Support SEO, social media strategy, and email marketing to enhance online visibility and engagement.
• Event Planning: Help coordinate and execute events that promote UDS’s mission and services.
• Communication Strategy: Contribute to the development of communication plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze campaign performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all communications.
• Data Analysis: Use data insights to inform marketing decisions and optimize outreach efforts.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to align marketing initiatives with organizational priorities.

What You Bring:

• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (SEO, social media, email marketing)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing or communications role
• Photography skills preferred
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and social media scheduling tools
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
• Ability to pass a BCI background check, physical, and drug screening

Pay: Salary Range $24.27- 27.58 /hour

Location: Akron, OH
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Occasional evenings/weekends required.
