Position Type: Packaging Specialist

Location: Frazeysburg, OH

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
· (2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch

Pay: $18.25/hr

Ridge Corporation was founded in 2004 and operates facilities in both Pataskala and Frazeysburg, Ohio. We employ approximately 220 team members across multiple shifts and manufacture advanced composite products primarily for the trucking industry, as well as marine and recreational vehicle markets.

Job Summary:

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating procedures for end users. The Technical Writer must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Package finished goods and move parts between pallets as required

2. Verify counts of materials match labeled quantities

3. Operate powered industrial equipment as needed (tow motor & overhead crane) with appropriate certification

4. Familiar and able to conduct cycle counts and physical inventories

5. Build wood pallets for outbound shipments per specifications

6. Ability to learn and follow work instructions

7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and to independently troubleshoot

8. Assist with data entry and label management through ERP system such as printing and re-packing labels

9. Meet / Exceed production standards and goals

10. Excellent time management and communication skills

11. Ability to work both independently and with a team

12. Follows Company safety and department policies and procedures

13. Maintains neat and clean work environment following 5S methodology

14. Makes recommendations to continually improve processes

15. Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

1. High School diploma / GED preferred

2. Proven commitment to quality complaince and productivity

3. Two months job related experience required, including machine operator / maintenance

4. Ability to identify ultrasonic, thermal, electrical and pneumatic concerns

5. Ability to follow work instructions from start up to shut down

6. Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out

7. Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

8. Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions including reading a tape measure

9. Ability to be self-motivated

Physical Requirements

1. Frequent Standing, Walking, and Kneeling with occasional sitting 2. Constant lifting of up to 75 pounds.
