Accounts Payable and General Accounting Specialist

Position Summary:

Magnum Electronics is seeking a motivated Accounts Payable and General Accounting Specialist to handle day-to-day financial transactions, ensure timely and accurate payment processing, and support general accounting activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Duties:

• Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding to GL accounts.
• Reconcile purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure W-9 and tax documentation is up to date.
• Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.

General Accounting Duties:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts.
• Post journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
• Assist with internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and general accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience in SaaS and other subscription models.
• Familiarity with ERP systems or automated AP processing tools.
