About the Role:

The Laborer position is essential to supporting various operational and construction activities by performing physically demanding tasks that contribute to the successful completion of projects. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople, preparing and cleaning work sites, and handling materials and equipment safely and efficiently. The Laborer ensures that all tasks are completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards, maintaining a productive and hazard-free environment. By providing reliable support and demonstrating a strong work ethic, the Laborer helps to keep projects on schedule and within budget. This position offers an opportunity to develop practical skills and gain experience in a dynamic work setting. Opportunities are available in all divisions (excavation, turf, sports coating, paving, milling, and asphalt maintenance).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and bending for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to follow safety instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Legal authorization to work in the country of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or related labor-intensive roles.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
• Completion of a safety training course such as OSHA 10-hour or equivalent.
• Good communication skills to understand instructions and collaborate with team members.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle extended periods of manual labor.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials and equipment on job sites.
• Prepare and clean work areas by removing debris, setting up tools, and ensuring safe conditions.
• Support skilled workers such as carpenters, electricians, and masons by providing necessary tools and materials.
• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, following safety protocols.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.
