Supervisor
BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.
This position's HQ county will be out of the closest service office to the selected candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversees investigations of potential violations of specific safety codes, compliance verification of correction orders for employers & preliminary investigations.
- Assigns investigations; provides notification to internal and external parties regarding matters, pending investigation, & assignment.
- Monitors investigative actions and progress; reviews & approves reports of investigation.
- Compiles performance & statistical results of investigations.

2 yrs. investigation exp. with experience corresponding to type of complaints & alleged violations appearing in job posting/approved position description; valid driver's license.
- Or 3 yrs. trg. or 3 yrs. exp. as investigator where experience does not correspond with cases/complaints/allegations to be assigned; valid driver's license.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Skill in use of personal computer; computer peripherals (e.g. scanner, printer); BWC software (e.g. word processing, database, spreadsheet, email, scanning, photo editing, PDF editing)*; digital camera*); unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS)*; operation of motor vehicles; remote piloting*. Ability to collect data & establish facts concerning validity of complaints & allegations; prepare accurate, concise & meaningful case reports recommending final disposition; use proper research methods in gathering data; interpret extensive variety of technical material in books, journals & manuals; deal with variety of variables in somewhat unfamiliar context; maintain accurate records; complete routine forms; understand basic physics, engineering, ergonomics & psychological & physiological factors relative to accidents; successfully interview claimants, witnesses, alleged violators & others with a diverse & wide range of backgrounds, education & knowledge; handle routine & sensitive inquiries & documents from claimants, employers, witnesses, alleged violators, government officials & co-workers.
