Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-centered Probate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience in Ohio probate practice who is ready to take ownership of files, serve families with excellence, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Ohio (in good standing)
• 3–5 years of experience handling Ohio probate matters
• Experience with full estate administration (testate and intestate)
• Strong working knowledge of Ohio probate procedures and local court rules
• Experience preparing and filing probate forms, inventories, accounts, and fiduciary reports
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and court requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience drafting estate planning documents
• Familiarity with trust funding and trust administration
• Experience handling real estate transfers within estates
• Experience working with blended families or high-net-worth clients

Core Responsibilities

• Manage probate and estate administration files from intake to closing
• Draft pleadings, applications, inventories, accounts, and supporting documents
• Prepare fiduciaries for appointments and hearings
• Communicate regularly with clients, beneficiaries, and court personnel
• Appear in probate court hearings as needed
• Coordinate asset transfers, real estate sales, and creditor notices
• Advise fiduciaries on duties and risk management
• Assist with trust administration matters
• Collaborate with estate planning team on related matters
