IT Security Engineer
- Lead efforts to build, maintain, and mature the organization’s CMMC and NIST 800-171 compliance programs.
- Develop, implement, and manage cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards aligned with CMMC Level 2 and NIST frameworks.
- Conduct internal security assessments, identify compliance gaps, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with external assessors, consultants, and clients to ensure audit readiness.
- Maintain documentation for security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Stay current on evolving DoD cybersecurity regulations and CMMC requirements.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless systems.
- Implement and manage endpoint security, patch management, and backup solutions.
- Maintain and monitor servers, cloud resources, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network performance and connectivity issues efficiently.
- Support secure configurations and system hardening for both internal and client environments.
- Provide high-quality technical support to clients with a focus on security and compliance.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Create clear and concise documentation, training materials, and reports for clients and internal teams.
- Assist clients in understanding their security responsibilities and implementing best practices.
- Write and maintain IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen the company’s cybersecurity posture.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Participate in internal training and contribute to building a culture of security awareness.

- 5+ years of experience in network administration, IT systems management, or cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of CMMC, NIST 800-171, and DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements.
- Experience developing and implementing IT security policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and common MSP tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CCNA, CISSP, CMMC Practitioner, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Salary: $85,000–$105,000 depending on experience
- Employment Type: Full-Time; In Office (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, M–F)
