Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, tractor-trailer, and refrigerated trailers. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service while transporting goods to designated locations. You'll be running an easy route, Cleveland to Florida and back. This is a fairly generic posting but I assure you the job is anything but generic, if you've been driving a while you know what journey I'm talking about.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure proper handling of specialized equipment for transporting various types of cargo.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, and refrigerated trailers is preferred.
- Experience in loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures is a plus.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
