Tire Test Engineer

About the Role:

Laboratory assistance to the mixing and testing of rubber compounds and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare rubber compounds according to specified formulations and work instructions.


• Operate laboratory equipment such as mixers, mills, presses, and testing machines (e.g. rheometer, tensile tester, hardness tester, viscoelastic tester).


• Conduct physical and chemical tests on rubber samples, including tensile strength, elongation, hardness, aging, viscosity, and chemical analysis.


• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and timely.


• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment.


• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to compound preparation and testing.


• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures and guidelines.


• Support research and development activities as required.


• Maintain inventory of lab supplies and raw materials.


• Collaborate with manager and engineers to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma required.


• Education in Chemistry, Chemical/Polymer Engineering preferred.


• 10 years’ experience working in rubber testing laboratory.


• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and procedures.


• Familiarity with rubber processing and testing equipment.


• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel and Word.
