Job Summary:

As a ProMedica Milk Technician, you play a key role in meeting the nutritional needs of our youngest patients.

You will prepare formula and human milk by using equipment safely, labeling and storing prepared feedings properly. Those feedings will then be delivered to patient room refrigerators as you manage inventory and check products for accuracy and expiration.

In this role, you will help train staff, show customer-centered service, and keep a daily log of quality metrics.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or higher education

• Skills: Basic math skills, strong critical thinking aptitude, written and verbal communication skills,the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and basic computer competence. Successfulpassing of a math proficiency test related to milk feeding orders; ability to comprehend simplemedical terminology; possess knowledge of aseptic technique

• Certification: Must have CPR certification upon start or date of completion of orientation.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Skills: Knowledge of Women's and Infants Timeless application preferred

• Years of Experience: 1-2 years
