Travel RN Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Trauma Unit / Progressive Care Unit
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Total Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Unit: 7 BSH Trauma/Surg (CC99062)
• Float Requirement: May float to other units within the healthcare organization
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $1990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required at submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
• BLS and IV certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager, director, or formal leadership)
• Previous charge nurse experience and Level I trauma experience preferred

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a trauma/surgical progressive care unit
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and perform IV starts
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; titrate cardiac and insulin drips
• Care for central lines, PICC lines, surgical drains, tracheostomies, and wound vacs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Float to other nursing units as needed within the organization
