Director of clinical operations

Position Overview:
The Director of Clinical Operations will oversee the daily clinical and operational functions of our growing Primary Care division. This leader will drive excellence in patient care, compliance, and performance metrics across multiple centers, supporting providers and clinical staff in achieving organizational goals within value-based and direct primary care models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all Primary Care centers.
- Oversee clinical workflows and operational performance to ensure exceptional patient experience and outcomes.
- Implement and monitor quality initiatives aligned with value-based care contracts and performance incentives (HEDIS, MIPS, etc.).
- Collaborate with medical leadership to support provider performance, EMR optimization, and population health initiatives.
- Utilize EClinicalWorks (ECW) to ensure efficient documentation, reporting, and compliance with payer and regulatory standards.
- Develop and execute operational protocols that align with Direct Primary Care principles, improving access and continuity of care.
- Lead, coach, and support clinical teams including RNs, MAs, and Providers.
- Monitor key metrics such as patient satisfaction, access, clinical outcomes, and revenue cycle performance.
- Serve as liaison between clinical operations, IT, billing, and leadership to streamline systems and communication.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) – active and unrestricted Ohio license required.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical leadership experience (preferably in Primary Care, Ambulatory, or Value-Based settings).
- Proven experience with EClinicalWorks (ECW) , including reporting, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
- Demonstrated success in managing teams and multiple site operations.
- Strong understanding of Value-Based Care , Direct Primary Care , and population health management principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Experience with payer incentive programs, care coordination, and quality metrics.
- Previous experience in a multi-site healthcare organization.
