Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Skilled Crew Lead to oversee a small crew while performing high-quality construction and renovation work. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates effectively, and leads by example. This position requires hands-on work as well as the ability to organize daily tasks, ensure projects stay on schedule, and maintain quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew on residential and light commercial projects.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and work orders.
• Perform skilled carpentry, remodeling, and general construction work.
• Coordinate daily job site activities and assign tasks.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
• Train and mentor crew members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
• Communicate project progress and any issues with management and customers.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available for daily work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction or remodeling experience.
• Previous crew lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, drywall, flooring, trim, siding, windows, doors, or similar trades.
• Ability to read blueprints and solve problems independently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with remodeling and home renovations.
• Ability to operate construction equipment.
• OSHA certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
