Department: Facilities
Shift: Monday - Friday Start 6:30 a.m. 40 hrs Full-time (Flexible)
Responsible for the daily facility cleaning, maintenance, building equipment inspection and maintenance, minor building repair, and maintaining supply inventories, as they relate to the operations and functionality of the Solon building. Essential Functions:
Perform daily facility custodial responsibilities for the building and grounds.
Emptying trash
Wiping counters
Checking supplies in restrooms & cafeterias
Using various tools in the maintenance shop (Drill Press, Band Saw, etc..) to produce materials for production and engineering.
Perform light maintenance functions.
Change light bulbs
Paint
Assist maintenance when necessary.
Interface with suppliers and outside contractors to coordinate the maintenance and repair of provided services. This includes janitorial, food services, grounds maintenance, trash services, etc. Additional Responsibilities:
Clean windows inside and outside.
Purchase maintenance supplies as required.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Required:
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work with hand tools
Valid driver's license. Preferred:
Custodial experience
Experience with shop equipment
