Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team in Valley City, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision-machined components. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment, can read blueprints, perform machine setups, inspect finished parts, and maintain quality standards while following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools.
• Perform machine setups, tool offsets, and machine adjustments.
• Monitor machining operations to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Record production and inspection data accurately.
• Report machine issues and maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Work with supervisors and team members to improve production efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC machine setup and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Technical training or CNC certification is a plus.
