Registered Nurse

Salary:
$27-$37/hr plus benefits
Monday-Friday schedule, no weekends

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to surgical patients throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. This role includes assessing and monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and supporting rehabilitation efforts. The RN collaborates closely with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care while adhering to all regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards. This position reports to the Director of Nursing and does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care during pre-surgical, operative, and recovery periods.

• Record and monitor patient symptoms, vital signs, and responses to treatment.

• Administer medications and manage medication storage in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate daily with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.

• Educate patients and family members about procedures, recovery expectations, and medical conditions.

• Deliver emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.

• Ensure compliance with state board of nursing standards, nurse practice acts, ASC philosophies, and governing agency regulations.

• Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to controlled substance regulations.

• Promote a safe and clean work environment, following established policies and procedures.

• Protect patient confidentiality and uphold organizational standards of conduct and care.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or must be obtained within one year of employment).

• Minimum of one year of operating room experience preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.

• High attention to detail, organization, and stress tolerance.

• Ability to meet physical demands including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
