Make a difference in students’ lives and contribute to a supportive school community as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This contract position begins August 24, 2026, and runs through June 7, 2027, offering the opportunity to work closely with exceptional learners in one building while collaborating with dedicated educational professionals.

In this role, you will work full-time (37.5 hours per week) and support two specialized classrooms:

• One class designed for students with multiple disabilities (MD), including autism, non-verbal communication, and physical impairments, serving a caseload of 9-12 students.
• A second class for students with emotional disabilities (ED), implementing behavior intervention plans, providing social-emotional instruction, and addressing crisis situations with a caseload of 10-15 students.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid Special Education Teacher licensure for the state.
• Experience supporting students with multiple and/or emotional disabilities.
• Proficiency in implementing IEPs, BIPs, and differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong crisis intervention, behavioral management, and communication skills.
• Collaborative approach with teachers, aides, therapists, and families.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering instruction tailored to individual student needs.
• Writing and updating IEPs and progress reports.
• Developing and implementing effective behavior management strategies.
• Engaging in ongoing communication with staff and families.
• Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
