Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team in Boardman, Ohio. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to support essential financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll assistance. Responsibilities: - Accurately input vouchers into the accounting system to maintain precise financial records. - Match invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure proper three-way invoice reconciliation. - Review and reconcile company credit card transactions to verify accuracy. - Organize and execute check runs, including processing and distributing company checks. - Record customer payments promptly and ensure remote deposit activities are completed efficiently. - Prepare and submit sales tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements. - Post daily transactions and reconcile them against financial records for accuracy. - Input and verify employee timesheet data to support payroll processes. - Assist with onboarding new employees into payroll systems and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits as needed. Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Strong experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. - Exceptional data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy. - Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation methods. - Ability to prepare and file sales tax returns. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Basic understanding of payroll functions and employee onboarding. - Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
