Plumber

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber proficient in all phases of plumbing from underground to top out for a commercial project. You will be responsible for roughing-in and installing new PVC drain/waste/vent, CPVC, and copper water lines in walls and underground. Additionally, you will be setting various fixtures on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground plumbing tasks.
• Execute top-out plumbing work.
• Complete rough-in plumbing installations.
• Install piping systems including PVC drain/waste/vent, CPVC, and copper lines.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• 3-5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial projects.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with plumbing installations and rough-ins.
• Familiarity with both hand and power tools.

• OSHA 10 certification.
• Experience in using plumbing hand tools such as wrenches, channel locks, cutters, and screwdrivers.
• Proper use of PPE including hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, and steel-toed boots.

This is a long-term opportunity with potential to transition to permanent positions. The role offers the chance to work with a large mechanical contractor engaged in numerous projects in Columbus, providing ample opportunity for career growth.

Work Environment

The work involves industrial or commercial projects located at 595 Thornwood Dr., Newark, OH. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a team of 8 already on the job. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of appropriate safety gear.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, OH.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
