A Machine Operator Assistant works with the Machine Operator on the production line by doing film changes, label changes, and other day to day responsibilities to support the production floor team.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Assist Machine Operator while on the production line
• Help troubleshoot and assist the Machine Operator by safely cleaning out meal waste and keeping machine running under normal operation
• Provide support for machine malfunctions
• Help keep production lines running and fill in for machine operator breaks, lunches, and absences
• Use all required safety equipment and consistently follow all food related sanitation and operating guidelines
• Supporting necessary downtime and SOP documents

Required Skills and Experience

• Read and process detailed written orders
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude skills
• Basic understanding of using hand tools

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing and/or food distribution industry

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
• Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
• Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Able to perform repetitive movements
• Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
