Safety Manager
job summary:
A top ENR general contractor is hiring a Safety Manager to take ownership of safety across high-profile commercial construction projects ranging from $1M to $500M in the Columbus, OH region. This is a high-impact, field-driven role where you'll lead safety initiatives on active job sites, partner directly with project teams, and drive a zero-injury culture across complex builds.

responsibilities:
- Lead and enforce a zero-injury safety culture across commercial construction projects ranging from $1M to $500M
- Partner with project teams to plan, implement, and manage site safety programs (precon meetings, inspections, incident investigations)
- Maintain field presence, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions
- Analyze safety performance data and develop action plans to improve regional safety outcomes
- Build and manage relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and alignment
- 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience in a field-based role
- Proven ability to manage safety across multiple projects and influence teams at all levels
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both field teams and executive leadership
