Business Development Leader
Full Time Remote - US- While the job location is listed as Cincinnati, OH, this is a remote position open to candidates across the United States.
- Develop and execute global target account development strategies focused on high-value accounts.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align business development initiatives with organizational goals.
- Define and implement processes for global pipeline generation, event follow-up, and account engagement.
- Manage, coach, and mentor a team of business development professionals.
- Create a culture of continuous learning and skill development, with a track record of elevating junior team members.
- Establish and track individual and team performance metrics.
- Lead engagement strategies for global target accounts, including outreach, relationship development, and partnership opportunities.
- Oversee event participation strategies, ensuring strong pre-event targeting, on-site engagement, and post-event follow-through.
- Utilize systems such as HubSpot and Gong to track and optimize outreach effectiveness, pipeline growth, and account performance.
- Monitor and analyze key business development KPIs, including pipeline generation, conversion rates, activity, and funnel metrics.
- Provide leadership reporting on business development performance, insights, and growth opportunities.
- Identify process and technology enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment on priorities and messaging.
- Travel up to 30% to engage with clients, prospects, and industry events globally.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in business development or sales leadership.
- Direct experience in EHS or EHS technology solutions strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in target account development and global account strategy, with the ability to articulate impact and correlate effort to revenue.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot and Gong..
- Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team, with a successful track record of developing junior team members into strong contributors.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to foster accountability and growth.
- Strong understanding of key business development metrics and KPIs.
- Ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% globally.
- Strong knowledge of event engagement strategies and post-event follow-through best practices.
