Job Title: Truck Driver Class A

Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Truck Driver to support company operations by transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites, yards, and vendor locations. The ideal candidate will operate company trucks responsibly, complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with site personnel and operations when needed. This role requires a dependable, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction and maintenance services environment and varied weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods to assigned destinations safely and efficiently.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues promptly.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety on the road.
- Helping at active construction and maintenance sites between trucking responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Experience : 3–5 years of experience in trucking, logistics, or construction operations. Experience operating tractor-trailers or heavy-duty trucks on long-haul or regional routes. Customer service experience in delivery, logistics, or related transportation work is preferred. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety inspection procedures.
- Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift, carry, move materials as needed, and helping at active construction and maintenance sites. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in safety or transportation preferred.
- Skills : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations on the road.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Driver License : Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A, as required by the specific vehicle operated. Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
- Additional Requirements : Ability to always follow safety procedures and company policies. Dependable, punctual, and committed to safe driving practices. Must maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Phone : Must have reliable phone access for communication with foreman, operations, and site personnel.
ADDITIONAL Working Conditions
This position is both on the road and at active construction sites. The driver must be comfortable operating around heavy equipment, uneven terrain, and active work zones.
Salary and Benefits
- Pay Range: Starting wage aligns with local non-union standards (apart from prevailing wage jobs) and is commensurate with experience.
- Benefits:
- Medical-partial percentage paid by the company after 60 days,
- Dental and vision along with other ancillary benefits after 60 days,
- 401K with a company match after 6 months of employment,
- Vesting PTO immediately and available for use after 90 days,
- 90-day probation period.
